Sustainability
For us, the refining of precious metals from recycling processes is the basis of all sustainability. SAXONIA’s corporate principles and the Code of Conduct for business partners are irrefutable and binding obligations for us. We are continually developing our CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY with the help of the EcoVadis® Scorecard. We are ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified.
As part of the SAXONIA Group, we minimize the use of environmental resources through measures to improve efficiency, investments in renewable energies and the predominant use of recycled precious metals. Our precious metal raw materials come from recycling sources and are “end-of-life” scrap or industrial waste. According to the “cut-off” approach, these materials are “burden free” and therefore free of historical greenhouse gas emissions. As a group, we are supporting the national and international goals of reducing CO2 emissions and limiting global warming to 1.5°C in accordance with the UN’s Paris Climate Agreement.
In our plants in Pforzheim and Sinsheim we reduced our CO2 emissions by 30% from 2016 to 2020 and are pursuing the goal of a 40% reduction by 2025.
